The ten day literary event Bangalore Book Festival 2012 to start today at Palace Grounds today.
Department of Kannada and Culture, Central Sahitya Academy, Bangalore Book Sellers, Indian Illustrated Classics, Publishers Association are jointly organizing Bengaluru Sahityotsava to mark the 10th anniversary of the Bangalore Book Festival.
On behalf of the organizers writer Chandrashekar Kambar mentioned that wide array of books in several languages and authors will be showcased in the festival. He also said that series of discussions will be held with famous writers and Jnanpith awardees at the event to provide book lovers and enthusiasts an insight into Indian Literary world and current trends.
General public can visit the festival by paying a nominal fee of rupees 20 and it is free for students and teachers.
