The Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium is one of the major tourist attraction in Bangalore for Science and Space lovers located in Millers Road.
The planetarium was founded in 1989 by Bangalore City Corporation and from 1992 Bangalore Association for Science Education (BASE) is managing the planetarium.
The planetarium is surrounded by Science and Children’s park around it, to provide the knowledge of some elements of science for its visitors.
The popular event at the planetarium is Sky Theater Shows which gets viewed by more than 2 lakhs visitors every year. These shows are of high educational value and lets its visitors gained with in depth knowledge on astronomy.
Apart from Sky Theater Shows, the planetarium makes arrangements for the public on special astronomical event days like solar eclipses, planetary transitions and to view comets.
Another activity held at the planetarium is Know Your Stars which will be conducted on first Sunday of every month. All visitors for the event will be provided with the start sheets and will be guided how to use.
Bangalore Association for Science Education (BASE) also conducts Science Exhibitions, Lectures and Workshops for Science teachers and students.

- Namma Souravyuha (Our Solar System in Kannada) from 11.30 am to 3.30pm
- Our Solar System from 12.30 pm to 4.30 pm
- Dawn of the Space Age from 1.30 pm
- Gaganayanada Navodaya (Dawn of the Space Age in Kannada) from 2.30 pm
Entry fee for the shows is Rs 35 for adults and Rs 20 for children and school students.
The shows are held on everyday except on Mondays and Second Tuesdays of a month, which are holidays.
