Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, a science museum is one of the major tourist attraction of Bangalore located near to Cubbon Park in Kasturba Road.
The museum was inaugurated by then Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal Nehru on 11th November 1962, and currently managed by National Council of Science Museums, Government of India.
Engine Hall of the museum showcases various automobile engines including a jet aircraft engine and many other mechanical devices.
Electro Technic Gallery of the museum features interactive exhibits including Faraday’s Ring, Barlow’s Wheel which works on basic principles of Electronics, Electricity and Communication.
The interactive devices in Fun Science Gallery makes people throng at these devices to experience the fun by operating them.
Other attractions of the museum includes Space Gallery, Science for Children Gallery, Dinosaur Gallery, a new 3D theater and more.
Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum can be termed as a mini science encyclopedia which offers a vast amount of information on various scientific devices.
