About Ulsoor Lake Attractions and History
The lake is spread over 123 acres and features some big and small islands in the lake.
The lake is dated back to Kempe Gowda, founder of Bangalore and the present lake is developed by Sir Lewin Bentham Bowring, who was the Commissioner of Bangalore at that time.
The name of the lake came because of the area it is located in, Ulsoor.
Boating is another attraction of the lake where visitors can hire a boat and roam across the lake.
The lake is also equipped with a jogging track for the residents of the city and a swimming pool in its premises.
The water of the lake was once highly polluted by several factors and recent measures taken to resolve the problem improved the quality of the water recently.
