Dodda Ganesha Temple, which is also known as Satya Ganesha or Shakti Ganapathi temple is the most famous Vinayaka temple in Bangalore.
The temple is located in Bull Temple Road, next to Big Bull Temple, which is another religious attraction in Bangalore.
The name Dodda (Big) came because of the huge size of Ganesha idol in the temple, whose height is 18 feet and width is 16 feet.
A story behind the construction of the temple is, Kempe Gowda, found of Bangalore, once found a big rock which is looking like Ganesha and ordered his sculptures to carve it well and built a temple dedicated to Lord Vinayaka.

The temple will be opened everyday in the morning from 6.30am to 12.30pm and in the evening from 5.30pm to 8.30pm.
