About Holy Trinity Church, Bangalore

The church is located at the east end of MG Road which is one of the most popular tourist place in the city.
Holy Trinity church is built in English Renaissance style and is considered as the largest Military church in South India.
The construction of the church was started on 16th February 1848 and some of the statues of the church were specially built in England. The stained glass and baptismal pond of the church were also brought from England.
After Independence of India, Christian Indian military personnel and their families took the church and renamed it to Holy Trinity Garrison Pastorate. Later in 1965 Mysore Diocese renamed the church to its present name Holy Trinity Church.
