Lord Shiva idol of 65 feet tall inside Lord Shiva Temple in Old Airport Road, Murugeshpalya, is one of the tourist attraction of Bangalore.
The temple was inaugurated by Sri Shankaracharya of Shringeri on 26th February 1995 which was Maha Shivarathri, an auspicious day for Hindus.
The Shiva Mandir features huge Ganesha idol in front of it and various forms of Shiva Lings are established in the pathway, which leads to the Huge Shiva idol.
The temple will be open 24 hours for devotees.
