St. Marks Cathedral is the oldest Anglican Church in Bangalore, located in Ashok Nagar near to MG Road.
The church construction was started in 1808 and got completed in 1812. In 1816 Bishop of Calcutta consecrated this cathedral. Later the church was enhanced in 1901 and rebuilt in 1927.
The Cathedral features Roman archers along the walls, well maintained external bells and beautiful stained glass work.
The Cathedral recently celebrated 200 years of Bicentenary celebrations by organizing various programs during 2007 and 2008.
