Biggest and one of the most popular parks of Bangalore, Cubbon Park is getting ready for World Environment Day which will be celebrated on 5th June.
Department of Horticulture to plant five hundred plants belonging to 30 different flora varieties for this occasion. Currently though there are several flora varieties in the garden, they are scattered here and there. Now Horticulture Department is taking measures to arrange similar type of plants located at one place.
As of now tabebuia, gulmohar, and lagerstroemia species of plants are featured in the park, in the renovation process of the garden additional species of plants such as erythrina crista, erythrina alba, cananga odorata, saraca declinata, califlora will be planted at footpath sideways and at several other empty places.
Once the plants grow up and started blooming the famous Cubbon Park is expected to become much more beautiful and will attract more number of visitors.
