Damaged Statues in Cubbon Park to be Renovated

Cubbon-ParkHorticulture Department of Karnataka has decided to renovate the damaged statues of historical personalities in the Cubbon Park, Bangalore.

Sceptre in the right hand of Queen Vitoria statue is damaged and the statue’s right forefinger also got cut. Chamarajendra Wodeyar’s statue lost its right show.

Horticulture Department has asked the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat to take the responsibility of renovating the statues. Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat representatives will visit the park in a week to inspect the condition of the statues and will produce a detailed report of steps required to be taken for the restoration process to Horticulture Department.

Meanwhile all statues including King Edward VII, K Seshadri Iyer, Major General Sir Mark Cubbon whose color has faded away will be polished.
