Jamia Masjid

Jamia Masjid is one of the largest mosques in Bangalore located near to City Market, Kalasipalya.

The mosque was constructed in 1940 with Rajasthan white marble which was designed by Rayyaz Asifuddin from Hyderabad and is dedicated to Tipu Sultan.

The mosque is a five storeyed building which can accommodate 10,000 devotees at a time and features a ablution pool in the middle.

Huge number of Muslims congregate here during the death anniversary of Tipu Sultan and is known as Tipu Urs.
